If you find that you can’t comment on an article there could be a number of reasons for this:
-To comment on an article you need to have an account with us. To register, please click here: https://www.independent.co.uk/register
-You need to be logged in. You should see a red icon in the top-right corner of the screen if you are successfully logged in.
-If you are prompted to subscribe when you try to comment on an article and are not a subscriber, you may be clicking on the ‘Independent Premium comments’ on the left-hand side.
-If you do not wish to subscribe, then you can click on ‘Open comments’ on the right-hand side which is available for all registered users. You should see the message ‘Hi [commenting name], join the discussion…’ which you can click on to write your comment.
-Please bear in mind our community guidelines when participating in our comment sections, otherwise your account may be suspended by our moderators. You can find out more information here.
