Banks and card issuers have recently adopted a new security measure called 3D Secure 2.0. Under this new system, your payment provider may now ask you to authenticate payments during your subscription when paying by card.
Authentication may be requested for a variety of reasons, such as any new payments, payments with updated card details and even automatically renewing payments on the same card. The authentication process may vary by each individual bank or card issuer; however, this will usually take the form of a push notification or SMS message from your bank.
If you do not successfully authenticate the payment, your subscription will unfortunately be cancelled by default.
